"A hidden gem — artsy, trendy, and genuinely unlike any other hotel I've stayed at in Seoul." I've stayed at several hotels across Seoul, and RYSE stands apart from all of them. There is something truly special about this place — it has a distinct artistic identity that you feel the moment you walk in. The design is bold, curated, and genuinely creative. It's not just a hotel trying to look cool; it actually has a soul. The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed, with a bathroom that fully matches the overall quality of the property. Everything was immaculate and thoughtfully put together. The service was flawless. Every member of the team was attentive, warm, and genuinely present — the kind of staff that listens and anticipates without being intrusive. It's exactly what you expect from a hotel of this level, and they deliver it consistently. The location is one of the best things about RYSE. Perfectly placed, easy access to everything Seoul has to offer, and yet the hotel itself feels like its own creative universe. The café downstairs is lovely — a great spot to settle into before heading out. What really stayed with me is the reaction of a local friend from Seoul, who asked me how on earth I had found this place. That says it all. RYSE has something that is hard to define but impossible to miss. If I come back to Seoul — and I will — this is where I'll be staying. Highly recommended

Great modern unique hotel in a bustling area. The rooms are a great size with great views of the city and in the mountains. Rooms are very uniquely decorated with useful amenities (the filtered water dispenser was very useful). There are a lot of great restaurants in walking distance, including a couple of halal options. We were on the highest floor and there were some car honks and loud exhaust noises coming into the room ... The hotel does have ear plugs already in the room, but we didn't feel like it was necessary. Overall great experience at a boutique styled hotel under the Marriott brand

I love the location of this hotel. This is in the middle of the Hongdae district, an area known for its young people and nightlife… I’m a little bit older, but this district felt a little quieter than the bright lights of the Myeong dong district. There is tons of shopping around here… lots of cosmetics, pharmacies, vintage stores, as well as street performances. The rooms themselves were luxurious. The only drawback was that the Aircon that was supposed to go down to 68°/20C and never got there, it stayed at 71.4. This wasn’t a huge problem in May, but definitely would be something to consider in July or August. They have a lovely morning breakfast for $30 per person, lots of Korean fair, pastries, and fruit. My husband and I both felt like it was worth the price. Upstairs there is a rooftop bar, we went there a couple nights just to relax and have a drink. We liked the tacos and the three cheese pot pie. We also ate at the coffee shop that they had on the bottom floor. The coffee was delicious and the waffle was good as well. On Saturday they had music from 8 to 8 with a DJ that was extremely loud and not my cup of tea but if you were a young person, maybe you would enjoy this.. all in all I would definitely stay at this hotel again it would recommend it to my friends.

I wanted to stay in Hongdae proper and it’s our first time visited in Seoul. It’s a great locations, close to the subway station (Hongkik University station) next door has 7-11 and other many coffee shops, and shopping areas. The room is pretty nice except their elevator takes too long and one time the other elevator was on the maintenance. Also, they really don’t have a staffs to help to take your luggage check in and out the hotel. Other than that my experienced not bad.

Located in the vibrant heart of Hongdae, a stay at RYSE Autograph Collection stands out as one of the most compelling choices in Seoul. The hotel is perfectly positioned with immediate access to an energetic mix of shops, restaurants, and charming cafés, all set within a lively university district that gives the area its youthful, creative pulse. One of the highlights is the presence of Blue Bottle Coffee right within the hotel, a delightful convenience for coffee lovers and a perfect way to start the day. The room reflects a sleek, modern aesthetic, thoughtfully equipped with quality amenities that enhance the overall comfort. While the space is slightly more compact than expected, it remains well-designed and perfectly manageable, maintaining a sense of style without compromising functionality. Overall, it’s a vibrant and well-curated stay that captures the spirit of Seoul while offering comfort and convenience in equal measure.
